Be been putting LED lights in. I put them in the interior dome lights and when they come on I'm happy with the look but when they go out the still have a faint glow. Is this normal?

I didn't wait to see how long the light continued to have a faint glow but I watched it for at least a minute and it was still glowing a little when I walked away. Does it eventually go out?

No. The light system of modern autos lets a slight current through even when the light should be 'off'. LEDs draw so little current that they illuminate slightly when an incandescent would be totally dark. My dome LED never goes completely dark. If I turn the dome light switch to Off, the front map lights glow. The same amount of current was flowing through the incandescents you took out, you just never knew because they didn't produce light at that level of current. I've never tested it with a multimeter, but it's probably less than 0.5mA.

Mine do not glow...of corse I bought good quality American made LED’s...
