You were using the wrong style of LED bulb then.

The style 4x4truckleds sells. Ebay has some similar but cost less without customer service or buy his and have great customer service and a warranty.

If you're talking about the LEDs they sell at Walmart, yes, those are junk in many different ways.

I have purchased and installed both the 5 zone ambient light kit and the center console cup holder lights in my 2016 f150. Both were very easy to do, and I have just completed the hardwire of the ambient kit into the truck so the lights come on with my automatic headlights, and will soon be doing the same to the cup holder lights. The customer service is excellent and very helpful with any and all questions you may have. In short will be ordering more from them for this truck and for all future trucks. I hope this helps and if you have any questions I'd be more than happy to help answer what I know.

As Summers said check out our XHP series (use the VEHICLE SPECIFIC link on our site to pick your year/make/model which helps out big time). We've tested a lot and that's why we selected the XHP style bulbs.

As Summers said you CAN buy them cheaper online and from overseas but you have to be careful with WHAT you get. Summers and 2008 know this very well that in the course of a year the products have changed a LOT. Nothing really obvious to the naked eye but the earlier kits when they first came out (at least on the H13 style) had issues with the Fords. So for example EARLIER H13 kits didn't light up the high beams at all. That got fixed in later releases to the point where everything we get now is top notch high quality stuff.

You may get a "deal" online but you might be buying OLDER stock that didn't get the new updates/new ballasts. So just be careful. Also watch your customer service/warranty. I can't tell you how many times customers (mostly on amazon) have tried to send us back someone elses bulbs that failed... doing the old "switch-a-roo" but we always catch them (this is why for those who are curious we always require a deposit on a FULL replacement kit, but send out single replacement bulbs in advance... with pre-paid return shipping 99% of the time).

[QUOTE=TTKammer;5205522]... and another man's opinion is, if you're wanting to install HIDs in a non-projection headlight housing... "Go For It"!

Well, he is right. U should get a pair of projectors and make a comparison....guaranteed, you'd like the projectors better. Yes, you see more, because you putting out more lite. I don't think much of it anymore tho...we've all become desensitized to the glare.

People Carelessly driving at nite without headlights on pisses me off more....I actually shut off my lights and then bright them...so I'm just as guilty lol

OH, yeah, you may have to buy load resistors to stop flickering with LED headlights. I have them now, but am having trouble aiming them...I am going to try one more time, but if I can't get it right, I'm going to Piaa's

So I got
these from Amazon these from Amazon
for $35, and am quite happy with them. They are designed for reflector housings so no retrofit needed, just plug and play.
