The products I used for my most recent detailing were products made for the PC so you wouldn't want to use them by hand. The Meguires 3 step process I described you could apply and remove by hand. Make sure though since you are going to be using a rubbing action against your paint that you use a really good microfiber towel. Where most people introduce swirls and scratches into their paint is by using a cheap wash mitt while washing their vehicle (get a real sheeps wool wash mitt, not an imitation one) and also by using a cheap terry cloth or a kitchen towel to apply different polishes and waxes onto their vehicles.

The 3 step process is simple and really wouldn't take you that much time by hand. If you already have scratches/swirls in your paint a good product to use by hand is Meguires ScratchX.

hey man, can I ask without trying to sound like an ***, but whats the point of ligting a 2wd truck? And if you do lift a 2wd, do you have to extend your drive-shaft? I'm noticing a trend here in Tenn where ppl are lifting 2wd trucks, and trying to find out what the hype is?

It's not about how many wheels drive the truck but more your love of the truck. I also own a 2wd truck and plan on lifting it. I may not be able to do what a 4wd drive truck can do but it all matters on how much you love the truck. Some people don't understand why we lift a 2wd but then again if you're the owner and you think it looks good then who cares what other people think???

How many 4 WD lifted NEW trucks go out climbin mountains any ways. I live in Phoenix, Az and you see lifted trucks with 24" rims, now who's going to go out and romp a truck with 24" rims. It's mainly for looks and like triton said about how much you love your truck. It makes it look tough as hell so I'm going to lift mine too and it's 2wd.

I'm with you there 2wdf150. I saw an FX4 the other day with 24 inch wheels. What a waste of a 4x4.

Sure you can ask and I don't take it as you being an ***. I think the 2 previous answers hit the nail on the head though. I have never made it a secret that my truck is a 2WD, I'm not one of those owners trying to pose as a 4WD. I got mine lifted for looks only and because it's what I wanted and tell me my truck doesn't look good.

Now let me ask a question without coming across like an ***. What's the use of buying a 4WD, lifting it and keeping it as a pavement queen? IMO most people (2WD & 4WD owners) all lift their trucks initially for looks only. Most of the 4WD trucks aren't doing any serious offroading where they need the lift for extra ground clearance. Taking your 4WD and running it through the sand or through some muddy dirt isn't offroading. Not saying you aren't truly using your 4WD, but most aren't. I don't blame them though because when you add the cost of the truck, financing costs and all the mods on my truck I'm approaching $50k for my truck. There's no way I'd take a $50k offroading and tear it up. This truck is going to last me a good long time.
