Default Larger size tire questions

Ok, I have been thinking about tires and next year I will be buying some. What i want to know is this. I have 35" 12.50 R17 right now on the truck. I am thinking about going to 37-38"s but do they make a 38? I realize they make :

35
37
40
etc..etc..

What are the equivalent to 38's? I dont want 40's as I really dont want to start changing gears. Right now my truck is running well and no problems with the trans and motor with 35's. I feel 40's and i am pushing it more than I am right now.

I also am looking at Nitto Mud Grapplers for a replacement. I would hope I can do this for around $1,600 tops but who knows untill its time to pay the piper.

They make 38"s but are hard to find. you can go with a 37 tall and it will come out to look like a 40 or 39 but wont be messing anything up gear wise or lower horsepower.

I am at 35's and HP is already lossed and I expect that with larger tires. Who knows other tire sizes that are the same as 38's?
