Just my 2 cents but i wouldnt trust walmart to make a key for my truck. I went in there to have a regular steel house key made, had the original and it took 3 seperate trips to the store to finally get a key that kinda works. The first two would go into the lock but wouldnt turn at all, the one i use now i have to jiggle a little.

My local Home Depot now has the capability to program keys. Not sure if they all do.

Had my father in law cut me a couple keys and mail them to me. Took them one day into the local dealer and service manager said $85 to program, left and came back a couple weeks later to just go a head and do it, guy said $50, laughed and said Sounds Great! Ordered 2 more fobs off eBay and now have 3 full sets of keys, very pleased

I was in the same boat. I ordered 2 blank transponder keys and new fob on ebay for 16 bucks shipped. Took it to a local locksmith who charged me 40 bucks to cut and program both keys without messing up my original key. I programmed the fob myself and now have 3 keys and 2 fobs total cost 56 bucks and ten minutes at the locksmith. Call around first thought, I had a few shops quote me 60 bucks a key even bringing my own blanks, and one that said the original key would not work after he programmed the new keys. I keep the third key in my gun safe, don't want to go through that hassle and expense again, but from what I've been reading I got off easy.

I would check out the local hardware store (mine was an affiliate of ACE) because mine was only $60 to for a new PATS key after I lost my 2nd key. Then you can use ebay to get more blank keys and program them yourself
