keypad entry: 9-0 button doesn't work?
recently purchased 05 F150 Lariat SuperCrew.
I took my back seat out to find my 5 digit code. when i enter it, it does not unlock the doors. I read in my owner's manual that holding down the 7-8 button and the 9-0 button will lock the doors. In my case pressing JUST the 7-8 button locks the doors. this leads me to believe the 9-0 button is stuck on. More evidence to support the theory is that when i hit any other button, (1-2, 3-4, 5-6, or 7-8), the button will illuminate. But hitting the 9-0 button, it does not illuminate. I must have entered a certain sequence once and observed all 5 buttons blinking (including the 9-0 button). this proves that the illumination for the 9-0 button is functional. What do you guys think? has my 9-0 **** its pants?

it could be stuck. when they all start blinking like you mentioned, i believe that means that you entered an incorrect code. if you do it too many times, it will "time itself out" for a certain amount of time. there should be a section in your owners manual that talks about setting codes, etc. i would press the 9-0 button to compare how it feels compared to the others, and unplug the unit for a couple minutes (sucks, but requires removal of door panel), then plug back in and re-try.

the button pushes in and feels exactly like the others... can someone confirm that the button 9-0 should illuminate when pressed... like the others?

My '05 Lariat Screw is doing the same thing, I changed the code one day to something new, and a week later noticed that if i press 7-8 it locks automatically. Its been too cold for me to dig into this any farther, and if I remember correctly this started happening to me right after I washed it down one day.
