is there anyway to reset this or do I HAVE to take it to the dealership and let them do it?

There is a procedure called out in the owners manual. If not available, or this is a new truck to you, the original key pad code is stickered on the module located according to other posts under the rear seat drivers side. Or maybe behind that seat. Good luck.
