Keyless entry remote has weak signal
So i was just wondering what range you trucks have with your keyless remotes? i have to be within 10 feet to get mine to work. I have replaced the batteries and ever bought a new switchblade key remote with no improvment. Is there something on the truck that i can check to try and get more of a range? Thanks for the help

Subscribed. I don't have an answer for you. Mine seems pretty hit and miss even with a new battery. Sometimes it works from 60', sometimes I need to be right beside the truck...

Wow, my automate remote start works great up to 100 yards for around 3 years now! I have 2 remotes, and 1 does seem to work better then the other, regardless of fresh batteries.. You might want to look into upgrading the remote, or make sure the receiver is in a better location.. My receiver is behind the rear view mirror..

I can get 75-100'. But our Jetta has a range of about 5'. It's been that way since we got it when it was 6 years old. Still the original batteries in the fobs at 15 years old now, and both fobs have always had the same range so I'm pretty sure it is the car, not the fob.

im assuming it is the reciever antenna that is just not picking up the signal from any further. for some reason though the panic button will work from about 60 feet. im guessing that as a security system it doesnt need a complete signal just bits and peices to make it go off? i wish it had better signal but im not complaining. my 87 Mustang still required a key be put in the door so this is still a step up!

Mine isn't working at all! I bought brand new key fobs with brand new batteries and even tried swapping the guts from the factory remote with new batteries(because they key ring part broke) and still nothing! Anyone have ANY ideas?
