Default Key in Ignition Beeping

Does anybody know how to stop the beeping now when the key is in the ignition and the door is open?

In my old truck I just had to removed the pink/black wire from the tumbler. Is it the same in the 04-08 model?

from somewhere else... if there is no instructions in the owner manual for this ( i dont have it handy ):

There are a number of things you can do:

1. Remove your keys from the ignition. Put them in your pocket.

2. Clip the key-in-switch wire lead under the column. This won't help unless the key is OFF.

3. Close the door (or close the latch only - just don't forget to re-open the latch before closing the door).

4. Install a switch from the door ajar switch to fool the GEM module into thinking the door is closed.
