Default keep or sell stock spare tire/wheel?

Hey guys was just wondering if its a good idea to keep it or just sell the whole thing or maybe just the tire? i have 35x12.5 trail grapplers on now and my stock spare is the 32" that comes with the fx4. the tire i know is pretty much useless to me, so i know ill probably sell that, but should i get rid of the rim or keep it? im eventually this summer going to buy my spare 35", but hopefully by end of year will have new rims. my thought was, as long as i got my spare tire, if anything happens i can always take off blown tire and pop on new one on existing rim. aslo the main reason im thinking of this, is due to tight money til summer, school as pretty much tooken over my work schedule.

thanks

I would keep it until you can purchase a larger spare. Imagine the donuts on smaller cars. Your speed should not exceeed 50 MPH when using a much smaller tire on the same axle as a larger tire. You don't have to worry about the tire blowing up post-50MPH like the donuts but if you have any traction devices in the differential or the need to brake quickly the donut will do more harm than good.

Keep the rim and get a proper size tire for it as a spare, you won't get much for the rim anyway it is just a steel rim, the look of the rim doesn't matter if it is always tucked up under the truck...a spare is to get you to a shop and replace with a matching tire

I've been told only a very worn down 35 could fit in there. But my plan was either just have it in the bed, but not sure if i trust people. Other option was to keep it at home and if I got a flat, call someone up to pick me up and grab the spare. But my main plan is to save and "eventually" buy that ADD tailgate they make.

just keep it and get you a new tire, especially if your spare tire was manufactured in 2004 like your truck. Tires are no good after 10 years.
