has anybody here installed the k and n intake does the gasket go between the adapter and motor or between the throttle body and adapter?

Based on this: http://www.knfilters.com/instructions/57-2556_inst.pdf and this picture, it goes between the adapter and the the throttle body.

hmm i think thats where i goofed. i installed the gasket between the motor and adapter, can this be the reason for the cutting out and idling issue?

doesnt seem like a gasket there would do that. but i could be wrong.
