I'm wanting to purchase a K&N CAI, and install it myself. I have a Magnaflow exhaust system and I thought the CAI would be my next addition. I am NOT very mechanically inclined and was wondering how difficult or easy the install would be. I read somewhere that you have to do some drilling for installation on the K&N system....is this true??? FWIW, I have a 2005 FX4 with the 5.4L.

i read some where that if you get the k&n kit you cant install a throttle body spacer because the intake tube sits to high. i bought an afe stage 2 kit. its a little hard to install it from sitin in my wheelchair lol so my dad did most of it... but even my mom was able to chip in lol. from what i could see it look really easy.
