Thanks to everyone who gave me advice.
So by cat back is the Y being replaced or does it bolt up right at the Y?
I have true duals and my Y is chopped up. I wanna do a SI/DP setup and turn it out in front of the right tire but don't wanna have to go to a shop and wait haha, rather order it and instal myself

My post was not at all negative. It's 410 stainless and the coating is flaking off with red rust under. I am not replacing it because MBRP sucks, I am replacing it because I need something quieter. I greatly like the MBRP product and workmanship. I have no issue recommending it to anyone, and have recommending it in the past in previous threads.

410 stainless is 85% iron, couple this with the coating I used is not designed to be corrosion resistant, then factor living in Minnesota which uses a lot of "wet" anti-icing solutions which just corrode metals faster than traditional road salt we are used to seeing. The red rust is very prominent in the portion above and behind the rear passenger-side wheel. It should also be noted that the inside of my rear bumper also had quite a nasty later of rust as well. This is Minnesota, and this is what happens as a result to the materials applied to the road surfaces here.

I am aware I come off blunt and sharp, but if you truly have an issue with me, please take it to PMs.

These systems(cat backs) are designed to go over the factory Y, so if you do not have this piece, some fab work will be required. My MBRP kit came with a spacer for crew cab/long box applications and tapers down to stock 2.25" size. It is also designed to fit very well with an OEM fitment.

Good deal. Mine was $389 shipped to my door. And yes, it will show signs of rust. All of my piping and exhaust tip are free of rust, but the muffler itself has some surface rust. After two Wisconsin winters, I'm not shocked at all. I went under the truck and polished it, and it looks like new again.
I'm not sure what the lifetime warranty all covers, but if you really were worried, I'm sure you could try to see if they would do anything about it.

well got my mbrp on today! I had to cut the old one off because the bolts were nothing but rusty nubs and I had to cut the hangers too. The New one is louuuuuud! Anything over 66-67mph i get one heck of a drone in the cab and i usually cruse 75-78mph on the thruway.I positioned the tip a few different ways and no help with the drone. Guess ill have to learn to like it! Lol

Right now it sounds a bit bubbly sounding, Im hoping it will mellow out as it breaks in. Don't get me wrong this is an awesome exhaust, but ive drove this truck for 5 1/2 yrs in silence.

It won't get quieter if that is what you are after. Yeah it gets some drone. I installed a boat load of fatmatt in my truck which helped.

Make sure you cranked the **** out of that first clamp. I had to tighten mine up again about a week after i drove it for a while, had a small leak.
And yeah, it's louder, but that's why you put it on in the first place i hope.
