What skills and tools do you have? All of the maintenance can be done by yourself, with the exception of a transmission flush (since the torque converters do not have drain plugs). Obviously the flush devices make changing coolant and transmissions easier, but require a shop to do it. The rear end service could be done by you, but it all depends on your skills and tool collection.

I'm at 95,000 miles so I've started my 100,000 mile maintenance. I've changed oil in front and rear diffs, and I just picked up 15L of MerconV for the tranny. It holds 13.2L. and 2 for the transfer case (i know it only needs mercon not merconV). got new tranny filter and gasket. Got my new SP-507 plugs here and just recieved my Lisle 65600 extraction tool through the snap-on truck guy. I'll be starting on the plugs this week.

ps, I spoke with my mechanic uncle about how to change all the trans fluid, he does it all the time for customers. After you remove your tranny pan, and clean the magnet and replace the filter, put it all back together, top up the fluid, (I think you get 4L out of the pan) and then crack the tranny cooler line at the radiator and ad fluid at the same rate it's coming out (engine running) when you see clean trans oil coming out, your purge is complete.

Thanks everyone for all the tips, I would not be doing much of this by myself, as I am not much of a mechanic, although I have a few buddies that could do a lot of these things for free or at least a pizza dinner haha, anything else boys, Im getting the oil changed, rear/front diff fluids flushed and swapped for new, and prolly going into the shop in town to get the tranny flushed out....
