Nice time. A few notes for the track. Try running with a 1/4 tank or less instead of a half tank. Gas wieghs 6.2-6.3lbs per gallon depending on its octane rating. Higher octane wieghs just a tick more. If each 1/4 of a tank represents 9gals (27gal tank) your carrying 56 extra lbs down the track. Also run the front tires up to 45psi to help decrease rolling resistance. You can even go as far as removing the spare and the front sway bar. I cannot remove remove the spare when I race as I need the extra weight for traction.

So is it ok to run on 87 octane on level 3? Is it that big of a difference if I run it on 91 octane?

Don't run Level 3 on anything less than 91 octane.

Blown_Ford - How much time can you shave for every 100lbs? I plan on taking off the camper shell, tailgate, and spare tire and running the tank (36gal) almost empty.

1/10sec for every 100lbs is the norm. While your at it get rid of the floor mats, and the passenger seat. Some other things to consider are stuff in the door pockets and center console, jumper cables, the jack, the sub, etc. Also washing it to remove any dirt and crud. Our back bumpers are built in such a way that they will hold quite a bit. Next time I go the truck will stripped down like this. I have never taken any real measures toward weight loss but next time I will. I want to see the 12's.

I wish the back seat was easier to get out.

Dang... I didn't think of half that stuff. Not so sure about taking seats out quite yet, but all the little stuff, heck yeah!
