Just bought my first ford gas burner, what mods make easy HP
I just bought my first ford f150 4x4. Its an 07. I have always had diesels, my last was a dodge cummins and it made a ton of power with the mods i had. Not trying to build a race truck but what are some of the basic mods you guys are doing to the gas burners to get more HP.By the way i love the truck, its like a cadilac compared to the dodge

I agree.
As for CAI I had the Air Force 1 on my truck and absolutely loved it. Exhaust I had a muffler shop custom bend me some pipes and add a magnaflow muffler to it and was very happy with the results. As for programmer go with an SCT tuner with custom tunes from Troyer Performance. VMP is another good maker of custom tunes for the F150, but the difference is Mike at Troyer specializes in custom tuning F150's where Justin at VMP specializes in Mustangs, but does a great job with F150's as well.

firefighter4 - In my experience, none of the normal mods (short of an SC) are going to wake up a gas burner to quite the extent you're used to with diesel. Simple mods on the Cummings can turn that thing into a monster, the gas mods are more incremental.
I'd still do them, but just wanted to be realistic about the expectations before you drop the cash.

Most folks never seriously think about an SC, but considering how much you spend on a CAI, exhast and programmer it actually makes the 2K Roush kit seem fairly reasonable.. Of course you'll likely end up still wanting the exhaust and programmer too.
