Default Just bought an Edge tuner, got a question! ive researched to

So I just picked me up a Used edge tuner for a fair price, I'm gonna covert it to the gryphon immediately.

But my question is, my goal is to get the best MPG gain possible and better comfortable shifting. So therefore from what I've researched still a little unsure.
Is everyone running the 87 tow mode to get better mpg which is a canned tune.
Or are u running 87 trans/shift mode?

Is it really worth 40 more dollars for a custom tune from PHP? Im not gonna run anything higher than 87 octane in my truck, i very seldom pull a trailer.

My truck has the following mods:
Flowmaster catback dual exhaust kit 2.5 inch pipes into 3 inch tips.
I did the E fan install which was amazing i went from 12.5 mpg to 15.4 so far.
And I plan on doing the gotts mod.
I have a 2004 F-150 Fx4 5.4 with 33 inch nitto tires and a leveling kit.

What do you all suggest?

I know the custom tune on mine with Straights and a Gott's mod really woke up. They can program it to pull more air since it doesnt have the trumpet in the way anymore. If you buy a tune always get the tow tune, Performance tunes are for that exactly, high speed performance that a 4x4 dont really need....

Most people use 87, i got a 89 Tow Tune because i wanna be the man in the middle and have a slightly better burning gas that doesnt cost a fortune,

Play with your torque converter lock settings to get better in town mpg
1-2 -3
2-3 -4
3-4 -5

This means at -xx mph or whichever you select, it will lock up at a slower speed, to make up for the bigger tires. So, Essentially you can do 40mph at 1100 rpm.

MPG Gains are really just from transmission tuning mostly. But i feed it more fuel, more air, and straight pipes, and get terrible gas mileage lmfao, i may can pull 14-15 on highway sometimes. Usually 10-12 in town

2.9! but i also changed the fuel filter and added the flowmaster catback force series II kit if that helped at all as well...

I did the lincoln mark VIII fan into the factory shroud with custom made brackets and the ron francis controller. What "Bucko" recommended on here and he was right! The ac clutch wire you gotta tap into the grey/white wire for your ac on the driver side under the fuse box in that harness is only thing i had to dig n research to find online.
