Just another EXHAUST thread......
Catback, true dual, SIDO?!?!? WTF?!? What do they do and what is best? I know that you all are all going to have different opinions. Just need to know the facts please. What are the benifits to catback vs. true dual. Is SIDO just a half ***** way to do it? I assume that SIDO gives you the look of true dual and sound. Just need help. Exhaust is the next thing for me.
Still up in the air of what mfg to go with. Flowmasters is used a lot around KY. Dont know if I want to shell out the $$$ for magnaflows or borla. Need help here guys.

Cat Back: Exhaust is redone from the catylic converters to the tail pipe(s).
True Duals: 1 pipe for each side of the engine (pretty self explanatory)
SIDO: Single in, Dual out. a.k.a. dummy duals. realistically, you get no more power, just more noise.
If you want power, the best thing to do is buy a set of long tube headers, high flow cats, and no mufflers. Run true duals from the headers back.
What exactly are you looking for in your exhaust; power, loudness...?

I would half to say a little of both. Don't have the money or means to purchase/install new headers. Guess I need an affordable way to make my truck to open up and rumble. I would like to have some power gains, but I'm not going ***** out on power. Any info helps. Thanks.

go to the local muffler shop and tell them you want true duals with no mufflers from the cats back. thats what i have and i get compliments almost every day about how my truck sounds. i have the 5.4L by the way. and later on, if you want headers you can put them on. or high flow cats. or cut them off, hollow em out and weld em back in.

Nah I don't mind the drone. Had loud exhaust on my last truck. This time I want it done right though.
