could have been that they were installed wrong too. as long as they arent damaged they should be fine. many jeep guys install junk yard or used gears with no probs, my friend had some 3.73 gear out of an explorer put on his stang with no noise either. its a judgment call to buy some junk yard or used gears. if u have the money buy new
