Jacked Tailgate?
Stepped into Dollar General for five minutes and local meth heads tried to either steal my tailgate or hope to steal what might be hidden by my tri-fold cover.
Comp deductible is $500, so looks like this one is all out of pocket.
Anyone have experience trying to touch up paint code PV (White Wheat)?

For all the good the video would yield.

After a small dent in my tailgate from a trailer. I dropped off the tailgate at a local independent body shop. Cash price (no paper work/receipt) to fix ding and paint whole tailgate was $200.

I second this, a small shop will probably take care of this for fairly cheap. Get a couple quotes.. After all they are free. Might not be as bad as you think!

Only wildcard might be the paint. PV is the same as White Sand Metallic (like on my 08). When I was rear-ended, the body shop manager commented about the added difficulty of properly blending the repair. Something about PV being a 3-componnet paint. They did a great job with mine in the end.

Most paint is 3 part. I think pigment variations between batches is the biggest problem. I've encountered this in aircraft paint (Aerothane). Lighter colors, especially yellows and whites seem to be the worst offenders.
