Default Its official Sparkplug change fixed the gas smell coming through A/C vents

Had my sparkplugs changed and none broke and the strong gas smell coming through the vents seems to be gone. The funny things is after seeing the plugs I didnt see anything that would say yep that's a problem.

now see, mine was the other way around, i changed my plugs at 50k miles as a prevenitive, which made a huge difference in throttle responce, but now when i first get in the truck and turn the vents on i can smell that gas like smell, or if im goin down the road and i turn the AC off for a few minutes... when i turn it back on it comes back for a moment then clears, it runs much better, not like i dropped a cylinder or something, its been almost 10,000 miles and hasnt stop

I had mine changed at 100K and I have noticed the gas smell also when I first crank my truck up. Any idea why this happens?

only thing i can think of is that when you unplugged the injectors to gain access to the coils, the injector orings may have sealed well/or poorly, depending on the issue each of you is having causing a very tiny leak and then a smell. a small fuel leak my never be noticed because the liquid would evaporate leaving the smell for the vents to pick up.

just a wild guess tho

It's very important that the plugs be torqued properly or you will get this smell.
