I can't friggin believe this. This is just a friggin nightmare
I dropped the truck off at Coccia yesterday after work and had a great feeling that this was finally gonna come to an end...I was wrong.
Today at 230pm I recieved a phone call at work telling me that they tested the coils, injectors, torque converter, cylinders and checked the u joints on the front driveshaft and nothing is wrong. They can verify the vibration but can't pin point whats causing it and that I should take it back to the original dealer. There's no charge for today. Bye.
This is after I explained on the phone while setting up this appointment that my original dealer had 3 months and 6 tries to figure this out and couldn't.
I called my original dealer today and told them thats it, I'm done. This truck has a problem that cant be found and I want out of this truck. I'm sick and tired of this bull**** and we need to sit down with trhe owner of the dealer and explain the situation.
I've already been told by the salesman who sold me this truck that the only to get out of this truck is to trade it in. We got this 09 Silverado for 20k, we'll give you 12,500 for yours on a trade, go check it out.
**** YOU! Not a chance! I owe 10,284 on this truck there's no way I'm takin that deal. **** him!

I haven't had personal experience but I'll chime in on this. I'd bet on plugs. Mine did similar with the shake around 45-55 only in overdrive, thought it was the trans so I got it checked. Shop found intermittent misfire and refused to do my plugs since they're prone to breaking off. Bought the lisle tool and replaced all plugs and the boots. Haven't had an issue since. It is very frustrating not having the vehicle but if they replaced the phasers then they potentially saved you trouble down the road and a couple grand had they gone out.
I bought the Lisle tool and the plugs I bought are in the glove box. I had planned ahead for changing them but after they tell me that there is no misfires TWICE, I figured somethin was really off with this thing
Figured I'd chime in on this and vent a little. Took my truck to ford at 7am yesterday and was the first truck there. Had an Extended warrantee I bought with the truck so I decided to take it in to get them to fix the warped leaking driver side manifold and get them to resplace the timing assembly and cam phasers cause the were wore plumb out. Well at 4 I get a call and the advisor says they're tech guy can't seem to reproduce the sounds that I stated the engine made and they'll need to keep it overnight to look at it again today but offered me a rental due to the fact my warrantee covers rentals. Well I get a call at lunch today and the advisor says they're shop Forman says the timing and cam noise is completely normal and just fine then engine is in no harm. She then tells me the Forman says there is nothing wrong with my manifold even though I stated there is visible soot on the head where the manifold meets the and the leak is loud enough to hear through the floor board. Now I'm not dumb I've very mechanically inclined and have always worked on my own vehicles so I know there is something wrong. They told me I owe them for 4 hours of diagnosing even though "they can't seem to find a problem" and I've gotta eat the $70 for the rental. Tomorrow isn't going to be pretty when I pick the truck up and I won't be satisfied untill the Forman takes a ride with me, listens to the truck and looks me in the face and tells me nothing is wrong. Sorry for the long reply buy I just had to let that out guys please forgive me!
But, I guess since they aren't the new 45k trucks, it's a big F U.
That's why I despise dealers. Their out is more times than not "unable to duplicate symptoms". And as sad as it is that's all they need to say to keep themselves in the clear. A used vehicle warranty is as good as the dealer who offers it and most will avoid major repairs at all costs.

It would be interesting if the dealer is reporting all of this stuff. If so the carfax must be pages long.
