Well they are fixing just about everything on the truck, by the time they are done, you will have a basically new truck, keep letting them guess. Sucks you dont have it to drive, but let them sort it out. They do seem to be working with you.

x2. I bet you have a pretty darn good argument for a warranty extension too.

"They've had almost 3 months and 6 ****in chances to troubleshoot. But you're right, I should just let them drag this out for another 3 months till the warranty expires then I get told to pound sand."

Does PA have any sort of "lemon law" relating to used vehicle sales? If so, this may be a vehicle to execise the law on. As much trouble as you've had since the purchase, I'm not sure you should be the one "holding the bag". If you can force the dealer to take back the truck, you could find a different/reliable used one.

Otherwise, you're doing about all you can. Keep records of all they do. Keep a record of conversations you have with the personnel (dates, names, and what you were told). You may need to go to court eventually.

Can't help diagnose your problems, but I can say I feel your pain. I've been without my truck for two weeks and I'm looking at around four before everything gets fixed. The best part is all this is happening within four months of buying the truck.

Just about the time I get her broken in and comfortable! They put me in a CAMRY for crying out loud.

They sold me an extended warranty with the truck, and the warranty company denied the claim, so I took it back and told them to deal with it, so now they have to fight with their own ****ty warranty company, which makes me laugh heartily lol.

They told me over the weekend that the warranty company may not cover any of the work, I told them that was their problem because their sales agent told me ANY problems with the truck would be covered under the warranty and it is their job to make good on that.

NEVER buying from a dealership again!

It's the coil packs. Will either be 1,2,or 5. Those 3 are the worst on a 3v 5.4 triton.

They're just throwing parts at it, or so they say, and acting like I'm crazy when I call and tell them it's still there.

Or so you would think. I'll expand below

I've contacted 2 and both nlew me off, even though they both listed USED cars in their ads. Guess they only want the new cars. I deal with one guy who admitted something today that pisses me off. I'll expand below

That would send me off the deep end. Lets hope they dont halt work on your truck and try to make you pay for it

I must say I've never had a problem with warranty claims. One thing I dont get is a rental.

The coils were checked twice, according to them.

Today I embarked on a final trip to this dealer to prove, once again, that the problem remains even after they denied it could be there on the phone.

We head out on a test drive, Service Manager driving, and he felt the vibration in the steering wheel and pedals. While we were driving I told him to pull over and rev the truck in park to show that the 2k rpm vibration is still there as well.

He explains to me that the 2k vibration, which can be felt in the seat, steering wheel and pedals is normal. I'm annoyed.

Once we return to the dealer he would like to try, if I will allow it, balancing the driveshafts. I explained that this was already supposed to have been done. He explained that it wasn't and they just looked to see if the weights were still there. I'm annoyed.

I tell him I'm worried that whatever is menacing this truck will let loose when the warranty expires and I'll be stuck with it even though it should have been fixed. He said they will help me out if it does. Not good enough, I'd like an extended warranty. They will only extend the warranty on this specific problem, which they dont know what it is. I'm annoyed.

Then the bomb drops.

"I'm not a mechanic, I'm just good with this stuff." What? Yep, he thinks what could be wrong and then tell the techs and they figure it out. He says the techs keep sayin my trucks fine even tho it's not.

Now do you see why I am pissed? I cant be 100 percent sure that they are even replacing anything and this is why it;s going to a different shop

This worked for me with my focus when I had an issue with my manual transmission. Make them test drive another one. They tried the same b.s. it's normal line on me and I said ok let's drive another one on the lot. We did. No issues with the other car so then I was like now what? They then actually admitted there was a problem. That being said they still couldn't fix it and a month later I traded it in at the same dealer for my f150. The funny thing is the sales and service dept never talked so they had no idea the issues I had...now its there problem.
