Default iPod and my 2006

I've done some searching but would like to clarify. I've got a 2006 FX4, with the "audiophile" option I think, and the 6-disc-in-dash player.

1. Can an iPod adapter be plugged in at the back of the head unit?

2. Will this adapter allow control of the iPod @ the head unit?

3. Will it charge my iPod?

Thanks in advance and sorry if it's been done to death.

Tim.

Tim,

I'm not sure if this will answer your question or not but the plug in for the iPod (atleast in my '07) is on top of the dash above the radio. Once it's plugged in there you hit AUX on the radio interface. You can control the songs from bother the iPod and the dash. However as far as charging your iPod, that I'm not sure on. I know mine has never died before while listening in the truck.

The aux in didn't come until 07.

I have an isimple gateway that I bought used from a member here.
it's awesome, however It would not charge my gen4 nano. I bought an adaptor to do that though. they list the adaptor on the brandmotion and isimple site, but I bought it locally.

Thanks (again). The brandmotion looks about right for me. Anyone know of a dealer in Canada? Trying to avoid the rather hefty, $57 shipping fee.

I have the same. Once I set the "dip switches" up correctly it worked great.
