My 1997 F150 2wd supercab has had problems with the intermittent wipers for over a year. The low and high speeds worked until last week and now just the high works only from time to time. It is now affecting the window functions as well. I have replaced all fuses and relays and just replaced the multifunction switch and it hasn't changed anything.

I read the other threads about the GEM body control computer and would like some input if this is indeed the answer to the problem. If so, I have only found 2 sellers online and it goes for $141 and $195. Are there other places to purchase this for less? Is it safe to go with a wrecking yard piece? And does anything need to be reprogrammed when a new/used unit is installed?

Any input would be appreciated as I have already spent about $120 and haven't fixed the prob. Thanks
