Love my 4.6
Feels good to have a F150 again, got my truck last month and had to sell my Xterra before wifey would allow me to do mods. Sold the X last week and this is what I did this week.
Old truck, loved it but hated the 5.4 issues:
New truck, how it looked the day I brought it home.
Hated the two-tone so I sanded and sprayed some Rustoleum bedliner. Also, not a fan of the chrome wheels.
Got new rims 17x8.5 Vtec but the -12 offset was too aggressive with the 35" Goodyear MTR. Major rubbing when I turned. Tried some trimming and hot gunning the inner plastic fender but the tire was hitting metal.
So, only solution was to get different rims and a positive offset. I like the look better! I know a lot of people like to run 20+" rims and I do like the look but I hit trails and fishing holes so I'm old school and prefer more tire than rims. These are 17s
Next mods: stereo system, Xcal II or III, Efan, and Twisted Wedge Heads if the engine dies...
