Default INTAKE n some

I have got a question.
Of the following how much hp can i expect from each?

CAI?
RAMAIR HOOD?
CAI w/ RAMAIRHOOD?

the idea behind the ramair hood seems to be logical but most say its a waste, i dont do much offroadind myself (id like to, it just doesn't happen) so i go for more of the street ride racing way, I found a great deal on a hood and am already planning on getting exhaust and a tuner, and more. I dont want to limit myself to the goods I just want someone to tell me if the ramair hood is a complete waste of money or are the benefits to it? If so what are they?

Note: please tell me what would the best setup be, as in a sealed path from ramair to CAI, or open cai, etc

A well designed RAM AIR Hood can add about 10 - 15 HP at 55 MPH (1 - 1.5 HP per 1 MPH above 45). The K&N Cold Air Intake can avg between 8 - 16 horsepower. So I would assume somewhere between 15 and 30 HP at 55 MPH.

I'm not any expert on hoods, but I can tell you this- I have a Flowmaster and more recently, just got an S&B CAI this week... the intake alone added somewhere between 9-13HP. It has a suprisingly quicker get-up... not to mention, it sounds like a beast. CAI is definitely the way to go IMO... here's the link to my thread =)

The CAI will help get colder into the engine. The Ram Air Hood will help keep the engine bay a little cooler probably.

Combine them both and the CAI air will not get heated as much on its way into the engine. Since the engine bay heat will be reduced, the intake pipe won't get as hot.

This is all theory though. Actuality may be different
