I dont think that the aluminum will make THAT much difference, but i definitely like the look better, and the aFe is pretty shiny, but not mirror finish. Also, I'd stay away from K&N, their filters are not good at all, and will suck down a lot of crap into your motor.

I purchased my first K&N filter in 1986 for my new Mustang GT Cobra and have installed them in every single vehicle I have owned since.

I have no idea where people on this site come up with all this misinformation about their products.

In 26 years a K&N filters has not foul up a MAF on any of my vehicles or caused a CEL.

The filtering is superior to anything on the market.

You really need to learn to ignore marketing hype.

ISO 5011 says their filtration is well below what the stock paper filter can do in filtration. You really need to learn to ignore marketing hype.
