Default Instructions needed to remove front frame section.

I'm replacing the front frame section on my 04 F-150, but I need some help on how to remove the front cab bolts and how to loosen the emergency brake cable. I have everything removed or disconnected from the front frame section except the two front mounts that connect the cab to the frame. It seems that the center bolt goes into the cab and just a nut holds it in, do I need to remove the two other nuts on the bottom of the mount??? I spent all day yesterday grinding the welds where the front section meets the center section of the frame. Overall it took me about three hours to loosen the welds on both sides.

i hope you took alot of breaks, did you mark up the area with a thermal crayon?

Get yourself a disc on manual. it will have all your answers in it, also will have all the frame measurements and whatnot. might cost a few bucks, but all your answers will be a click away.

Default Frame Work

It was a hot job and the outside temp was about 95. As you know it's either time or money and I have the time to fix it so that's what I'm trying to do. I ordered a ford factory manual last thursday but it's not here yet.
I just want to make sure all my work is not in vain and screw somthing up.
I figured out how to get the parking brake cable off with out to much trouble, found a pdf on a lift kit that had the info in it. Now I just need to know if all three bolts come off where the cab and frame meet or just the big bolt in the center.

Sighhhhhhhh time to go pack up the tools and head over to the horse ranch where the red beast lays torn apart. Cheers.

Don't take this the wrong way, but welding in a new frame portion is not something the average guy does in the shed, let alone going hog wild without knowing exactly what the procedure is, your cutting the frame off a truck, but don't know about the cab bolts? IMO frame repairs on newer truck should be done at a professional shop and they have the ability to get the frame to pre-collision specifications, you could be doing all the work for nothing. I have built many many things over the years, but if i had any frame issues of that severity, i take it in. did you take it in and have it out on the lasers? is the frame fixable? how much did they want to repair it?
