Default Install factory Ford emblem backup camera to aftermarket head unit

Hi all, has anyone connected the 2009-2010 Ford emblem with the factory backup camera to an aftermarket dvd/navigation unit? I assume I will have to splice wire but I can't seem to find anything on the internet on how exacly to do it. I have found how to install the emblem but nothing on how to wire it into the monitor. I do have the factory wiring harness. Thanks in advance for any help.

Default Factory Camera to Aftermarket Nav

After much searching I found what you are looking for the factory camera goes from the mirror in the head liner down the drivers side centre post. I found the wires in the drivers side rear door sill tapped into them and it works great. The wires are twisted and sheilded in black tape. The wires are brown/orange and brown.

Can you post some pictures of where you access the wires on the driver side and how you spliced them? I am looking at doing this after I buy my truck. Thanks!!!

If you are looking to add the stock ford emblem camera to an aftermarket radio, Metra sell a pigtail adapter that switches the factory plug style harness, to a single RCA for plug and play connection. They are also available on eBay as well

Do you have a model number or an ebay item number for that adapter? Having trouble finding it.

I bought this Camera and it comes with the emblem and an rca cable, no need for a metra harness. It does not have oem wire
