Thanks to this thread I know its one of the 2 issues at least and will hopefully have this solved soon.... I just happened to clear out a rental apartment last week and I must have thrown away at least 10 beer coozies.... Dammit!

Mine makes a rattle when a door is closed and over a good size bump in the road while driving.. It resembles the the sound of a door being slightly ajar.... I wonder if the cold weather is caused this issue to develop, since my truck was rattle free prior to the cold.
I'm not quite sure if yours is the same, but it's worth a look. Hope you can find two unwanted can coolies laying around just in case it is the rattle above the rear dome light. Either way, good luck!

Thanks man, I've got a few can coolies and will hopefully be able to address this issue soon... Every time a door is shut in my truck the headliner moves and the sound is made.. I'm still unsure which of the 2 variables the sound could be coming from.. Im also not sure of what I will do if the sunroof shade is making the noise..

I had the same headliner rattle. I had some foam left over from something that I stuffed up in there and fixed that.
My sunroof has a little rattle that does seem louder in the cold. I just barely have to touch it and it stops. Pulling the shade closed, stops that for now.

Thanks for the tip!
Looks like this is a common issue. Is it from the the headliner sagging a little, or the foam blocks degrading?

It's gotta be from it sagging a little. I can only guess that it drops a little over time, and when we close the door or hit a good bump, the hard foam blocks in-between the liner and the roof, bounce up and hit the roof.
That noise bothered me for a couple years, till I just had to investigate.
