I have seen it on BMW , Mustang, MB. I now you can, Just need to now what to press to get it. Dos any one now if it is possible to make the info display gives you live data (Coolant Temp, RPM, Speed...) instead of the usual mileage, MPG..? I now it is possible to do so in the mustang. I remember reading about its some wear.
OK. I was just wondering?
Plus I now it is possible, It is something dealers usually use for a quick check. It is nice to now how to do it.
And you don't need to Chang any thing, SO it is a cheap thing.
I AM surprised that now one hear is it rested to now how to do this.

You should already have all of this information from all of your dash gauges, albeit analog instead of digitally. Dealers, mechanics, auto parts stores have OBDII DTC readers (also fairly cheap) that can give far more specific trouble codes. Your truck is not made by Mercedes, or BMW, and your truck isn't a mustang, so it seems a little odd to me to expect a feature of those cars on your truck. My truck doesn't have headlight wipers either, does yours?

Edit: I tried it after work today. It does work, it does have the function of showing a considerable number of vehicle parameters. However, it is a relatively clumsy, stupid way of accessing it. Only one variable is displayed at a time, there are dozens of (meaningless to me) variables displayed before anything useful, and many after. Possibly useful only if one had a list of what they all were and was looking for one thing in particular. My 2¢

if you read that web site you posted it tells you how to do it.. if you are still wondering???

just shut your key off....press and hold your trip button...while your holding the button ..turn the key to run.(not start)...wait a few seconds and your odom will say test let go of the button and start the vehical...you just go through there and you will find the tach and all sorts of things...the web site you posted tells you how to do it ..its the same as the mustangs

I tried that too and it works.
Well all I AM saying is it is nice to now how to do it. It will be helpful if you don't have your scanner or programmer withe you and you want to check the coolant temp for example.
I don't now way I have been attacked for this it is a nice truck to now. use it or not.
The analog gages AR not accurate and their is a delay belt in them (so you don't see the gages moving back an forth too often).
