The display in the gage cluster can display live data from various censers (Temp, RPM, Oil Presser...).
I have seen it on BMW , Mustang, MB. I now you can, Just need to now what to press to get it.

I did it once on accident. If you hold the trip/reset button while starting the rig you get all kinds of guages to scroll through.

Hmm. Sounds like what I had to do to reprogram my speedometer on my '95 f150 when I changed tire sizes, but I had to ground a wire someplace to change the values...

Quite a few of the display functions are controlled/set by the PCM; therefore it would be extreemly difficult and/or cost inefficiant to make yours do what other auto manufacturers do.

Awhile back, I replaced my 2004 STX guage cluster with a XLT cluster. I wanted a tach. The guages work, the tach works, but I also noticed some of the display functions from my STX cluster and this XLT cluster changed. For example, I no longer see the "door ajar" display when one of my doors is open. I also lost the interior light to come on when the doors are opened. This XLT also had the compass and outside temp display function that my STX did not. So, I bought the temp sensor and installed it. Still no temp display. After exhaustive research, I was told the PCM needs to be programmed in order for the temp display, and standard STX display functions to be restored/working. I did not bother.

It would be cheaper for you to buy a tuner or Scanguage to obtain the displays you're after on your current truck. Not saying it could not be done, but no one here has come up with how to do it, and the cost would seem to be silly to go forth with.

OK.
I was just wondering?
Plus I now it is possible, It is something dealers usually use for a quick check. It is nice to now how to do it.
And you don't need to Chang any thing, SO it is a cheap thing.
I AM surprised that now one hear is it rested to now how to do this.
