Not sure - but I'm checking them out too. Always heard that February was a good month to buy a vehicle. Then there's the "end-of-year inventory reduction so's we don't has to pay taxes" sale.

Would be good to find out the numbers on dealer's inventories - may be a good indicator of upcoming sales. These are usually given in 'days of inventory'.

I hope so. It seems that last month the incentives were better than this month. Last month was discount cash AND financing. This month it's an OR and the cash is about $1000 less.

I'm hoping that they at least go back to last months. If they do, then I'll jump on the truck I've had an eye on. If not, I'll probably just keep what I have until the right deal comes along.

Bought mine Monday!!!!! i got the 7500 ford rebate, an extra 500 for financing through ford and the dealer took an extra 4grand off the top to total 12k off the sticker price. i also beat the crap out of them on my trade in. kbb trade in was like 10,800 on my 2004 wrangelr rubicon and i ended up getting 12700 for it! Just go find the truck you want and tell them what you want to pay for it. thats what i did! I got a $34k truck for just under 22k

You got the $7,500 AND financing? I thought that was an OR deal. Also it seemed that for some reason they were advertising that figure but all the fine print seemed to indicate $6,500. Did I miss something? Or did you get extra lucky?

If you have good credit (over 650 score), you may get Ford Motor Credit to finance your truck. Otherwise it would be to your advantage to get financing first (go and visit your local bank or credit union), then go visit the Ford dealership.

It's no secret that FMC and GMAC announced they would not be financing for some time; they supposedly ran out of money. In watching the new car ads on TV here in Dallas Texas, I've noticed the dealer ads stating they are financing through local banks; this is in the TV ads!

So if your credit is not the strongest, I'd take advantage of the tough times the dealerships are going through, and the offers they provide. Having financing pre-approved is a major plus for you.

Bought my truck last weekend, the local dealer was only offering the rebates of the sticker, but several other dealers with 100 miles were taking the rebates off of the invoice. I was able to get my truck for about $12,000 off of the sticker price.
