Injector change on 05-- 5.4 a piece of cake
Easy to do ,even for me-- first time doing it . I think it just took me a couple of hours , Simply unplug each one, wait long enough with battery off --engine cool . Then move a couple of things around, use a release tool on the fuel feed ,pull the connector on the fuel pressure sensor, and you can pull both fuel rails out of there, the injectors pop out with the rail ,have rags there to soak up gas .
The injectors are small and are just fitted with an oring to keep them snug and not leak . The rail holds them in there . The biggest problem is bleeding the gas off the rail ,there is no pressure fitting to let pressure off ,it tends to go every where . Maybe someone has a better way to bleed this off .
I found it very easy to do . 12 hours is a joke .
This system is an on demand system, it doesn't pump the excess back to the tank that's why you have the trouble some fuel demand module above the spare tire .
