I dont think the rear doors are the same size , and if you pull the regulator out of the doors the windows will fall down ,this is all the keeps the window in place . The replacement regulator is a complete unit ,two window tracts , motor, and cables on plastic pulleys. I will repeat again if you read my first post and went to the web site ,you will see that the regulators break at anytime ,even the passenger and rear windows regardless of how much use they see . I think Ford builds the best truck on the road ,i have owned fords for years and will defend them , but i think Ford dropped the ball in this one .

regulators arent that hard to replace actually. i had mine go out about a month ago at around 70k. i was rolling up the window, and when it hit the top it popped and the motor kept running while the window was at the top. had to pull the window up every 30 minutes. its a pain, yes, but a lil bit of electrical tape to the top of the door and the window is fine. it took me a lil under 40 minutes to replace that regulator, and i never did it before in my life. those regulators do look a little flimsy though...now im waiting for the passenger side to go out

i am sure all f series trucks use the same brand of regulator.....912,000 trucks sold in 2004...if it was a real issue, it would have been recalled, just inferior lots of regulators from the manufacturer.....

I hate the thought of another man touching my truck or, even worse, driving it. Why don't more people realize that a mechanic is a last resort, unless it's warranty work and even then it depends on the price of parts. My baby is in the shop right now, has been since Monday morning and I am flipping out. My reason, warranty work.

people are lazy, got too much money, or just don't know how. i just replaced the father-in-laws 4x4 actuator, took me an hour and saved him 150 bucks......more $$$ in my pocket, buys me more toys
