Default I want a 12 or 15000lbs winch on an 04 F150, how?

Hey all,
I am new to this forum and need help with my '04 F150 FX off-Road edition truck. I recently took my truck to the bog holes in Minnesota to test out the four wheel drive. It worked great for the first 4 holes and then I hit a 50 yard stretch where it was clay and water mixed. I punched it and definitely got stuck. I didn't have a winch and the nearest truck was 15 miles away .

I have been searching the web and have not found a mounting gaurd or any mounting system that could pull 12-15000 lbs on my style truck. I want to bury my truck and have no problem getting it back out. Any help?

For that big of a winch you might need to get a replacement bumper, such as Boondock Bumpers or Ranchand, in order to mount it.

Boondock and RanchHand? Are you trying to make his truck ugly? Iron Bull, buckstop, road armor and alien patrol are much better looking

no they are not.....they wanna make themselves out to be but they are a lot weaker than the bigger guys and made out of a garage and they are hideous..... They have similar styling but they have a few differences that make them weaker and uglier

Half the price for half the quality......Road Armor and Fab Fours is a lot better quality but they are over priced.....Iron Bull and Alien Patrol are the same quality and a great price....boondock is just a paperweight

Default Wow!

Nice to hear from the guy who is a vendor for Iron Bull Bumpers on this forum! BoonDock's guarantees our bumpers are just as good as the other guys & also have enough class not to cut down our competition, there are other great bumper manufactures out there, it is all a matter of the customers personal preference and price range!

Ha, you're awesome.

Now that you're here though, do you guys have more 04 F-150 designs than are on your site? I'm looking for a bumper with a guard attached to it.

I'll check and see if I can find any pics. I know there are pics of the full grille guard on an F150 on the site, theres an 01-03 and an 04-08. This is the only design for the bumper itself.

This is the only pic I can find of that year with a full grille guard. The grille guard on this one sticks out a little farther than usual because the customer wanted to be able to mount those huge lights on the front. This truck is in Alaska so having the huge lights makes sense! The other truck is an 03 but it will give you a better idea of how the grille guards usually fit.
