Default I.W.E Vacuum system question... Urgent!

I have a leak in my vacuum reservoir behind the battery box. It's going to be a week or so before I get one. Would the I.W.E's still function properly in 2wd if I just temporarily plug the line that was going to the reservoir, as long as the check valves are both good??

Here's what I suggest. Look behind the wheels at the vacuum lines that go into the wheel an unplug them. This will engage the CV shafts at the wheels. It'll drain your MPG but its much better than risking a partial engagement and having to replace the wheel ends. I did this for a few days waiting on parts. You wont hardly notice a difference

I would disconnect at the solenoid on the firewall behind the battery.. this will prevent debris from getting into the lines down by the wheels.. you IWE's will be engaged until you fix the vacuum box but, will not hurt the system.
