put a level kit on your truck and throw a set of 295/70s Nitto Mudd Grapplers on her. You can go almost anywhere that way. I have this set up on wifes 4x4 and havent had to lock in 4x4 yet

I'm thinking a leveling kit levels the front and rear, which my stock truck already appears to be. Am I wrong in this thinking?
it will level your tuck but it will also give you more room to fit bigger tires than you already can stock, maybe just a size or two, and it will reduce your chance of rubbin by makin your front wheel well "bigger"

Yeah which in your case will allow for 33's or the metric equivalent. And in my mudding experience mud grapplers are the absolute worst tires you can possibly purchase, they blow in the mud and last about 20K miles at most and are super loud, go with either bfg mts, bfg ats, kumho mt's, or firestone destination mt's...

Havent had a single complaint on mine. Currently have 28K on my set and show about 40% wear. Keep them aired up to about 50 psi.

I will second the nitto's, a lot of people talk about how they rarely have to put in in four wheel drive when they go mudding because they are that good, just not very good on the road

I think you guys are confusing mud grapplers and terra grapplers....get yourself a good set of mud terrains for the rear and some weight in the box and call it good. find another set of used rims and swap em when you go hunting. i couldn't imagine not having 4x4, i bet my truck is in 4by at least 100 times a year, other trucks in the past, easily triple that, just depends on what ya use your truck for.

I'm with ATOM with a set of tires and weight boxes.

If you look at what everyone else suggested and bought you could buy a used 4x4 truck just for hunting

Weight is definitely a HUGE help. I’ve had to go down a nasty mud trail for work the past couple days. I made though at least eight times no problem with a bunch of tools and full 5 gal paint buckets. I took it all out today then tried to leave and got stuck. It was the first time I ever wish I had 4wd since I bought the truck.

Living in Fort Sill should be a lot of sand. Don't get yourself into a bind it is what it is a two wheel drive Good mud tires on the back and a winch not if you need but when.
