Yes, my stock belt would slip under hard throttle shifts with my tuner/programmer. It wouldn't do it with the stock tune. It only did it when I had the truck programmed with either the Edge or my Xcal3.

Is that because of faster shifts changing the rpms so rapidly or what?

I don't know. I am thinking because of the extra load on the belt from the engine producing more power But my factory supercharged Bonneville also chirps the belt on hard throttle shifts with the oem belt too. Looks like i need to get one for it also.
