Been driving it all week....haven't even registered it yet...I gotta say I like this thing. Its my first pickup. I put some air in the tires and "GEEZE this thing is kinda tall"! Now I really have to use the handle to get in lol.....I've got what seems to be mild lifter tap/exhaust manifold tick a few seconds after startup....then it goes away. I think I confused the noisy injectors. Funny how I hear this stuff once I got the truck home....I went to the dealer 3 times, start it up and let it run for about an hour listening. Overall, I like this truck. She does have a hum at the rear diff...hopefully a new fluid change will quiet that a little....if not, I'll be doing the rear outer bearings and seals....not brave enough to do the inners. Bought my 05 Lariat screw with 166k on it eh 2 to 3 weeks ago.
I have posted on a couple threads here and started a few asking questions about stuff. So far I have a minor list. Shift **** deflector door actuator. shifter light, fog light, floor mats, Im currently looking for an ashtray that will lock. Its all been fairly easy stuff so far. however I had the oil changed with 5w20 syn and put some Lucos oil additive in it. Its now making diesel like sounds and well I am sure I will need to do the phasers and top end goodies. Dats life.. I do think I will try to get it done sometime around March and when I do I want to put a remote starter on it. Next project after that will be a back up camera same time probably a radio update. Only thing body wise with mine is a couple rust dings in the front bumper, the spot under the fuel tank door, as well as I need to replace that door. Plus the drivers cab corner is just starting to go. Ok the list is getting worse the more I type.. But over all Its in good shape. Good luck with your new truck
