Default I know the spark plug issue is a dead horse for sure...

But has anyone ever experienced breakages on a 4.6L? Everything I have ever read about it here involved the 5.4L but I just thought about this tonight.

I was just about to start a thread about this but you beat me to it lol...
I got the 4.6 v8 in my f150 and was wondering the same thing.

i havnt, since the 4.6 is still a 2 valve and uses a different plug.

... In the '09+ yes but not in the 04-08's.

i hope it is only in the 5.4l...lol

im almost 100 percent sure its only the 04 and up 5.4, the 4.6 is basicly the same as when it came out in 97 in the 04-08 pickups, so the plugs should be similar if not the same and ive never heard of any breaking issues with them, so im gonna say youre safe with the 4.6

A buddy of mine has mustang with 4.6l 3 V in it and had the same problems with the plugs. Im not sure about the about the trucks though.....

yea the 2v head vs the 3v head is way different. if i ever meet the engineer who ok'd the 2 piece plugs im gona punch him in the dick.
