Honestly...you don't buy a tuner because of its looks.....you buy it for its functionality. The pod is nice, but doesn't make up for the edge's lack of performance compared to SCT.

Bill from PHP has made the Edge custom tunable and has put alot of work into the software to do data logging some like the SCT devices.
I don't have the spare cash laying around for one now anyway. I would like one that I could have on display for readouts, etc. That's the only feature I wish I had in my FX4 is the trip computer... driving from DC to Tampa and calculating mpg in my head for 16 hours is less than thrilling, but it does keep me awake.

I'm just now starting to look in to these types of upgrades. I only have a K&N filter in my truck as of right now. I'd like to do the CAI and tuner upgrade sometime this year... however that has to work in conjunction with fixing up my Mustang(s) and doing the maintenance my truck deserves. I've been too poor to get new tires and brakes LOL. The gas mileage is killing me too!

No worries man....that's why I suggested the Gryphon..it's a few more $$ but you get alot more out of it than the edge. When you are ready hit up www.powerhungryperformance.com.

Using Google would have net you the information early on about how the edge product mounts, as well as it's programming capabilites.

A lot of information can be found by doing some personal "leg work". Then you could share your findings with us on this site.

Then this valuable information could be shared here, rather than asking the same questions over and over (and over).

Lets face it; the majority of the questions posted here each and every week are "whats the best exhaust", "whats the best intake", or "whats the best tuner".

A simple search would yeild you dozens of posts on the subject.

I've said it before; lets start a pool and see how long it takes for the above topics to get posted yet again. Last time I mentioned this on a CAI topic thread, it was less than 36 hours before another post appeared, and two topics down (at that time) was the same question.

A couple yes...Troyerr is closer to 3-4 now. I look at it like this..he is not a big company like Troyer. Him and his wife....period. He does great work and custom writes your tunes w/o using alot pre-set configs like most other tuners do. From speaking with him now and then over messages the man is extremely intelligent and I expect his tunes to exhibit that. Will hopefully get the chance to meet up with them in Utah this summer to have some Dyno tuning done as they are coming in from Georgia.

Livewire will give you the gauges. Since I have the Xcal II (bought my programmer before the Xcal III or Livewire were even on the market) I have a Scangauge II in my truck to work as my gauges.
