not to an extreme, just a little. Just a suggestion. It probably wont be enough, but if hes running low on options it couldnt hurt, he can always crank them down if he ends up downsizing his tires.
Nice job on the detailed response to my suggestion. back it up with a reason next time.

I dont know what everyone is being such a dick about. The kid made an honest mistake and now he is looking to you guys for some help and you give him ****.
Here is the route I think you should take. Since you have already invested all this money on new wheels and sick tires, you might as well get a lift. If the money is not there, put the stock rims back on (hopefully you havent sold them yet), if the tires are shot get some cheap ones with half tread off craigslist. This is just so your Dad can have his truck back (you can keep the rims and tires in your garage till you can afford to get the lift). Also you could take the leveling kit off and sell it to put towards a lift kit.
In terms of lifts you can get a body lift which is cheaper, but from what I hear installation is both tough and pricey. Or you can get a suspension lift. While the kit is a little more expensive, this is route I would take. It is better than a body lift in terms of performance and quality, and will allow you to run those beefy tires.

Forgive me for it has been a long day... slipped my mind... boy do i feel dumb. sorry for the smart *** response.
In this case I do agree with rollingthunder, on either upping the leveling kit which isnt much of a gain. but a 4 inch lift kit would def. clear the 35s.
or downgrade to a 33.
how you go about swapping is up to you given your situation, im unsure of your options.
