Thanks you guys I never really go off road that's why I let my brother in law use my recovery strap. Looking to get the proper gear and it does look expensive but thankfully no one got hurt or anything.

Also keep in mind that a tow strap is different from a recovery strap (which has some elasticity)

I know that brother, like I said it was pouring out and used what I had on hand. It was a very risky gamble I made.

Next time tell him, "oh you are stuck" too bad because you'll have to call a towing company as I'm busy at work.

When he tells you the hundreds it cost, merely laugh at that, hoping that he finds that outrageous.
