Default hypertech max power programmer

I'm looking at a hypertech max power programmer for my 07 5.4, been surfing crapslist looking for whats around for cheap and I'm considering this unit. Any thoughts, opinions or negativity towards hypertech's programmer?

I have it on my 06. A little stronger with a little former shifts. Nothing huge. No noticeable fuel economy increases with it.

in yours or anyone else's opinion would be worth holding out and paying more for a edge evolution or if I can get this unit for $100 is it a deal?

$100 would be a deal. That's what I paid. The Edge would be nice but unless you get a custom tune, they probably give the same gains.

That should have read firmer. Auto correct doesn't like that word.

it's my understanding these sorta do custom tunes, they're supposed to recognize intakes, and exhaust then provide greater gains plus adjust for tire size right?

I don't recall which questions they ask when you download the tunes, tire size for sure, can't remember if it asked about any other mods. I don't think it's the same as a true custom tune though.
