So yesterday.....
i came across the funniest looking thing. It was a newer Chevy...06-07 maybe...and i saw that it had 4 exhaust tips coming out the back. it wasn't your typical 1in2out cheap-o tips. they were 4 regular magnaflow rolled tips....it interested me so i followed him to the local walmart and snuck a peak at it had an offroad x pipe and TWO SIDO magnaflows. he had it set up as true duals into quads? if that is the the correct term. it was the 6.0 motor and he had 4 - 2 1/2 pipes with 3" tips coming straight out the back. wow did it sound different.
I didnt get pictures because i didnt have my phone with me or anything...so you can say the no pictures didnt happen stuff if you want....
but has anyone seen anything like this before???

There is an old Silverado (early 90's) near me that has two SIDO mufflers and each outlet has dual tip extensions on them. For those of us that are mathematically slower... that's eight- count 'em EIGHT exhaust tips. Four out each side straight out the back. YUCK!

Close to that. but this was a homemade kit. it looked like a homemade x-pipe. the two mufflers were SIDO. and 4 full length tail pipes all the way out the back from the mufflers. not just a split right before the bumper. the way they looked coming out he back was very similar to that though!

See, these are the guys that would have the biggest fart cart if they owned a Honduhh. No class. The guy who owns the exhaust shop that did my exhaust had four tips that came up through the bed in the rear and ended right over the top of the tail gate...WTF?

I can remember in the late 50's there was a trend where I lived at that time with some of the hot rod cars that had 8, 1 3/4" dia. straight pipes about 4' long, no mufflers, with bell ends welded on a "log manifold", that hung just below the rear bumper. They were evenly spaced from one end to the other. I remember them on a 58 chevy. I think they were called "scavenger pipes".
Looked cool at the time.
