Wheels 20"
It's important to note that although I have 20's. I chose a tire to maintain the same overall height. It's lowered a couple of inches in the rear so the tire fills up the wheel well and therefore appears taller than it is.

Have you thought about an underdrive? Gearvendor sells a unit that can be configured/purchased as either an OD or UD from what I remember. You could do a UD to get your taller gearing when you want performance and return to normal for highway driving. I have a 07 5.4 with 4.10's and I'd like to see it run easier on the highway, right now it's around 2K rpms at 60-65 and I'm thinking eventually I'd like to check one of the Gearvendor units out.

^ I also have 4.10s in my 5.4. It's right around 2K at 60mph and I've seen a high of 16.5mpg highway. That 500rpm does make a difference. I've knocked out a 0-60 in 7.3seconds though. That's with a Ext cab+8ft bed+ 4wd. And I topped out at 118mph in a top end run, though it ran out of power more than gearing.

Yes, I have money for the turbo. But you and I work too much! My project just bumped me from 50 to 55. That should tell you that I have the money. If you were my next door neighbor we would be butchering it now! That top end fuel mileage concerns me a little because I drive back and forth to Bama some, but other than that it is just manuevering around slowpokes here in Houston! I drive it alot with the overdrive off. That helps, I would like a little quicker response off the line and in traffic. I'm really trying to see if I could get that by changing to 3.73 from 3.55

Actually we are about as close as neighbors can come over a worldwide forum. lol. I too am working 60+ hr weeks (bout to go into the office now, ugh). I am usually always off on sundays. We should get together sometime and I can show you how I plan to run my piping, and everything else, and maybe that will get ya to pull the trigger on a T/C system.
As for gears, since we have the elusive 8.8, we have a few extra gears available that most 9" axles dont have. You can opt to go to a 3.89 instead of the 3.73 (you would regret going to that from a 3.55, trust me) If you wanted to go higher than 4.10, but not go to a huge 4.56, there is a 4.30 gearing. That is what I will be putting in my truck.
Anyways, I'm always available to help so if you are serious about the turbo (and wouldnt mind being my guinea pig build lol) lets get together sometime and shoot the proverbial **** bout 4.6's and Turbo's! Ok, time to trek into Houston... Atleast 45 isn't bad this time of the morning.

Hey guys, thanks for all the info that you all post on these forums... I have a 2010 5.4 Platinum (2wd), and am thinking about putting a supercharger on it, and possibly changing the rear end as well. The door tag shows H9 (which I think is a 3.55 gear). I have the stock 20s on it now, but do plan on changing them. Whatever I do get, it will be the same or very close to the same rolling diameter, so the tire height should not be an issue. Any and all comments, concerns or personal insights would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.... Richard
