I've been on the forum for a few weeks now, and haven't seen much of anything in the way of people swapping cams.

I have a 2007 5.4L 3V and am interested in swapping out for a more aggressive Camshaft and hardware. Has anybody done this or looked into it?

I'm pretty sure with the VCT, unless someone can tune it for the new cams you might have problems.

To get an aggressive cam you actually need to lock out the VCT system.

And very expensive. If you are gonna drop a few g's in the truck for power then put a blower on it. The cams won't give you the bang for the buck.

On a side note, poking around on summit I see they have Comp ( I think ) VCT actuators.
