how many valve lifters
about to do timing kit and phasers and vcts and everything else along with it, as my truck keeps dyeing on me while driving and saying "low oil pressure" figure the tensioners are worn down and just going to replace everything in there while i have it open, just wondering how many valve lifters are in there? i believe 16, 2 for each cylinder? but could be wrong please help me out here this is what the little guys look like if anyones wondering http://images.oreillyauto.com/parts/...ht2305_ang.jpg

If its the 5.4 you might think about 24 roller followers and 24 lash adjusters (which is what it has instead of rockers and lifters).
I can't find a way to replace the lash adjusters without removing the camshafts. It's still easier with the front cover off but maybe not as easy as you were thinking.
